The year I didn’t die was my way of coming to terms with so many of the contradictions of dealing with cancer in these turbulent times.
As I chart my experience within the cancer treatment hospital, I am also painfully aware of the broader devastation of our suffering society.
I express my gratitude for the team of doctors and nurses who have cared for me at the same time as I question the injustices of our collective life.
I recognize the beauty and joy in resistance and in living longer.
